She struggled with the job’s mindlessness (“my mind was slowly wiltering away not having anything challenging to focus on”) and was aware of the industry’s fickleness. “You are so disposable as a model, there is no security in it and you don’t really believe people actually care about you,” she says. “If I wasn’t a hot flavour anymore, I was going to lose work.”
